artist statment

My work as a movement artist and dancer emerges from a search for human truth and emotional authenticity. Drawing on my acting background, I infuse movement with presence, dramatic tension, and imaginative storytelling, creating a lived emotional reality in each piece. Imagination fuels my choices, yet care for others anchors my practice. I invite collaborators to draw from their own experiences, allowing honest performance and shared vulnerability to guide the work.

My process embraces improvisation, dialogue, mistakes, humor, and “happy accidents,” which make the work unmistakably human. Collaboration across mediums—including music, video, text, and audience participation—is essential, as collective vision creates deeper resonance.

Motherhood profoundly transformed my body, mind, and spirit. After the birth of my second child, I navigated postpartum depression, which reshaped my artistic purpose. Today, I strive to achieve truth in movement while inspiring audiences to face and transcend their own challenges.
